Analyze an SDS

Privacy policy

SDS Lookup does not require an account, does not sell data and does not show ads or use advertising trackers. Documents you upload to the AI SDS analyzer are processed in memory to generate your result and are not stored. The site runs on Cloudflare, and basic anonymous analytics may be used to understand which pages are useful.

What we collect

Browsing the site

You can read every page without signing in or giving us any personal information. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is part of normal web hosting and security.

AI SDS analyzer uploads

  • When you use the AI SDS analyzer, the file or text you provide is sent to our service and processed in memory to produce the explanation you see.
  • We do not store your uploaded documents. They are processed in memory to generate the result.
  • The text is passed to an AI model running on Cloudflare's infrastructure for this purpose. We do not use your uploads to build advertising profiles.
  • Please do not upload documents containing personal, confidential or commercially sensitive information you do not want processed in this way. Safety data sheets normally contain supplier information, not personal data.
  • To prevent abuse, the service may limit how many requests can be made in a period.

Analytics

We may use basic, anonymous analytics to count page views and see which pages are used, so that we can improve the content. We do not use analytics to track individuals across sites, and we do not use advertising or retargeting trackers.

Cookies and local storage

The site is designed to work without tracking cookies. Your browser may store technical data locally to make pages load efficiently.

Hosting and third parties

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which delivers pages and may process request data (for example IP addresses) under its own privacy policy to provide hosting, performance and security. Chemical data on our pages comes from public sources listed on the data sources page; when you follow links to those sites (PubChem, ECHA, NIOSH, OSHA and others) their privacy policies apply, not ours.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent personal data.
  • We do not show third-party ads or use advertising trackers.
  • We do not require registration.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

Because we do not store uploads or require an account, there is generally no personal profile for us to access, correct or delete. You can block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time, and you can browse the site without using the analyzer.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page. This policy is a plain-language description of current practice and is not legal advice.
